一、Learning goals: (学习目标)
1.Grasp the phrases and important sentences.
2. 理解虚拟语气的含义、在非真实条件从句中的用法及动词形式。
(1)虚拟语气:如果我们所说的不是事实,也不是要求、命令、劝告等,而只是一种假设、愿望、建议或是一种实现不了的空想就用虚拟语气。
注意: 条件句分两种, 真实条件句和虚拟条件句。只有在虚拟(非真实)条件句中, 才用虚拟语气, 而在真实条件句中, 要用陈述语气。
(2)从句用一般过去时, 主句用 “should/would/could/ might +动词原形” 。
二、情感态度价值观:
通过老师介绍一些慈善家的一些事迹,培养学生关爱别人的意识。

四、Teaching Steps:教学步骤
Step 1:One minute talk. 一分钟对话,考察学生的口语表达能力。整合教材,把1a和1c编成对话。
1.让学生自由讨论,按小组写下他们想做的事情。
2.挑选一些比较有趣的想法的小组给全班表演,活跃课堂气氛,鼓励学生开口问,大胆说。

Step 3: Show the learning goals.
分析学习目标,使学生对本节课所学内容有所了解。
Step 4:Pairwork
出示一张沙漠图片,一个迷路的小孩一筹莫展,用“身处困境中,你会怎么做”来引导学生进行思考,进入本课主题-----“What would you do?”,然后分组检查预习情况,虚拟语气的含义、用法等等。
Step 5: Listen to the tape.Then finish 1b、2a、2b

1. 谈论图片所表达的信息,引出medical research,save money。
2.Teacher:We are going to a conversation about their ideas about how to spend a million dollars.
让学生听对话,写出相应的顺序。

步骤:初步听信息,由学生给出答案,如果不同意见教师进行解释,最后给出正确答案。
2.Listen Again.Check the four things Larry’s sister says to him.
利用多媒体课件中的SectionA 2a和2b的内容,让学生听并选择答案。
Step 6:Do exercises 课堂测试
Step 7: Sum up 让学生总结我们学了什么。
巩固主要词汇和句型,让学生在学习中通过接受新知识、观察知识结构,学会归纳总结,进一步培养他们主动获取知识和信息的能力。
Step 8: Homework
自己想像一些情景用所学句型描述出来,可以用对话的形式。

六、重点难点释义:
1. He doesn’t know if he should bring a present.
此处 if 表示“是否”, 引导宾语从句。Should此处表示“应该”, 不是虚拟语气。
eg. ①. I don’t know if I should go to the party.
②. If I have enough money, I will go to Hainan.
Present 在这是“礼物”的意思。
2. If I were you, I’d wear a shirt and tie.
if 引导的条件状语从句表示与现在事实相反的虚拟语气时, be动词只能用were, 而不能用was。
eg. If he were here, he would not agree with you.
3. I don’t have a present. What if everyone else brings a present?
What if… “如果……怎么办? ”相当于 what would happen if…
eg. What shall I do if it snows?
