语法专项：
一．大数的表达与朗读：1000以上的基数词的表达法：先从右至左数，每三位数加一个逗点（即以此把数目分为若干段）。第一个逗点前的数为thousand（千），第二个逗点前的数为million（百万），第三个逗点前的数为billion（十亿）。
注：1. 英语没有“万”这个单位，要表示“万”需借用thousand，如“一万”用“十个千”表示（ten thousand），“十万”用“百个千”表示（one hundred thousand）。
2. 在thousand后通常加上连词and。若读数中没有hundred，则在thousand后加and。

二．形容词和副词的比较级和最高级
（一）概说：英语中的形容词和副词有三个等级，即原级、比较级和最高级。比较级主要用于两者比较，最高级主要用于三者或三者以上进行比较。
（二）比较等级的构成：1. 通过加后缀-er和-est构成。①单音节和部分双音节词通过加后缀-er和-est构成比较级和最高级：tall-taller-tallest fast-faster-fastest ②若原级以字母e结尾，则只加-r和-st：fine-finer-finest ③若原级以“辅音字母 +y”结尾，则应将y改为i，再加-er和-est构成比较级和最高级：dry-drier-driest ④若原级以重读闭音节结尾，且末尾只有一个辅音字母，则双写这个辅音字母后加-er和-est构成比较级和最高级：big-bigger-biggest
2. 通过在其前加more和most构成：多音节和部分双音节词通过在其前加more和most构成比较级和最高级：difficult-more difficult-most difficult popular-more popular-most popular
助记：比较级的变化规则：比较等级要变化，一般词尾加-er；词尾若有哑音e，直接加r就可以；一辅重读闭音节，辅音字母要双写；辅音字母加y结尾，要把y改i加-er。
（三）形容词与副词比较等级的不规则变化：常见不规则形容词与副词的比较等级变化：
good/ well-better-best bad/ badly/ ill-worse-worst many/ much-more-most little-less-least
far-farther/ further-farthest/ furthest old-older/ elder-oldest/ eldest
（四）使用比较等级应注意的几点：
1. 使用比较等级的基本原则：不作比较用原级，两者比较用比较级，多者比较用最高级。
2. 在形容词的最高级前通常用the，在副词的最高级前可用the，也可省略。
3. 比较级前常用的修饰词语有far, even, a lot, a bit, much等。
