Step One: compare their preview works among the same level. 
T : 1. Draw a check table on the blackboard.
   2. Listen to the report from the winners. Try to find out how they 
preview, and then sum up .
3. Show the aims for students to choose.
(At the same time, students get into the next s tep gradually, one after another)
Step Two: Learn by thems elves. 
1.Remember 1a, and use the sentences in 1b to answer
What do you think a good friend should be like?
2. Finish 1b&1c: listen twice, and finish t he info rmation in the form. Then check the answers.   
Do you have problems about the listening script? Ask your group members or you r teachers for help !
3.Talk about the similarities and differences between Molly and Mary.
Ss: Choose your own tasks; Record the number of the task on the blackboard as long as you finish one;
T: Check and supervise; offer help.
Step Three: Exploration &Summary
1.  Expressions used for compare similarities and difference:
(the same as, b e different from, comparative forms; as…as)
2.  Words that can decorate the Comparative forms:
much, a little, a bit, no, any quite, etc.                                                                 
Step Four:  Oral practice
Make conversations about Molly and Mary like 1e, according to the listeni ng material. If you finish this, just come to the blackboard and act out.
Step Five: Test
Step Six: Show students how to preview for next class. (2d-3c)
