教学内容
Comic strip & Welcome to the unit(第6~7页),通过两只小狗Eddie和Hobo的对话,引出朋友的话题。
教材分析
Comic strip &Welcome to the unit是本单元的第一课时, 主要是激发学生兴趣,通过Eddie和Hobo两只小狗之间的对话,引出本单元的学习重点。掌握相关的描写朋友的重要词汇和两个重要句式:“Maybe we can share it.”和“Can I have something to drink?'。
教学目标
基础知识
掌握词汇:honest, yourself, humorous,make,joke,secret,magazine,polite,trust,true
thirsty, care,good-looking,tidy,lie
词组:some more food, keep a secre,t care about, be ready to do sth, tell lies/funny jokes
make sb happy, tell him/her everything about yourself, have problems
句型:Can I have something to drink?
What about some milk?
Can I have some more food?
Maybe we can share it.
What makes good friends, Amy?
基本技能
1.掌握本课出现的重点语言点。
2.学习用适当的词描述人的外貌和性格特点。
3.能简单描述好朋友的优秀品质。

让学生学习用适当的词描述人的外貌和性格特点。

重点:掌握基本的四会单词、词组及句型。
难点:能用英语描述好朋友的优秀品质。
教学突破:课前让学生搜集朋友方面的图片和信息资料,这样有利于课堂对话的开展。

Welcome to the unit
Step I  Presentation(新授Welcome to the unit
1 Hello, everyone, glad to see you again! Did you have a nice summer holiday? Are you happy to be back to school and see all your friends? Look, we took a photo with this famous man--- Batman. He's a hero and people's good friend because he helps people in danger. Do you agree? What do you think of him?
Describing appearance and personality,引导出:helpful、clever、kind、friendly、interesting、tell funny jokes等词汇或词组。
2 Daniel and Amy are talking about what qualities are important in good friends. What do they think good friends should be like?播放B部分的录音。
Step II  Practice(操练)
1跟录音集体朗读B部分的对话,分角色朗读。
2模仿B部分编对话,进行操练,要求学会使用句型- What makes good friends?
I think good friends should be ....
3请不同学习小组的学生上台表演对话。
Step III  Presentation(新授部分)
1 You all have good friends. Why do you think he or she is your good friend? What makes your friend so special?呈现一些问题,让学生两人一组讨论并回答。
2 Daniel is reading about a writing competition in Teenagers magazine. Let's help him match the questions with the qualities.呈现生词teenager和 magazine,完成A部分的练习,然后在小组内操练。
3找出较难理解的知识点,教师适当讲解,如:
make sb happy have problems
believe what he/she says = believe his/her words
Step IV  Activity(活动)
1以“朋友”为话题,两人一组练习对话,教师可提供以下问句供参考:
Who's your good friend?
Where's he/she from?
What does he/she like?
What do you think of your friend?
How did you become good friends?
2发挥自己的想像力和创造力组织对话,选择几组学生表演对话。
3 Play a guessing game. Ss describe their best friends in the class and guess who are talked about.
对描述到位、猜测正确的学生予以表扬。
4让学生读读关于“朋友”的谚语,进一步理解“朋友”的内涵。

Step I  Presentation(新授Comic strip
1 呈现Eddie和Hobo的头像, It's nice to see our friends Eddie and Hobo again. They're funny and can always make us happy.教师板书make us happy接着问:Do you think Eddie and Hobo are good friends? Why?
2为学生播放Comic strip部分的录音,学生带着问题听录音。
3让学生回答问题,检查学生理解情况。
4让学生再次听Comic strip部分的录音,教师呈现更多问题,要求学生听完后回答。
(1) What does Eddie give Hobo?
(2) What does Hobo want?
(3) Do you think Eddie is a true friend? Why?
5听录音跟读对话,提醒学生注意语音语调:Open your books. Please repeat the Comic strip after the tape. Pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation.
Step II  Activity(活动)
1 让学生分角色表演对话。Now please act out the dialogue in pairs. You can add your own ideas.鼓励学生根据自己的想像添加内容。
2几组学生进行对话展示,表演结束后给予评价和表扬。
