Reading 1
Step I呈现
l教师说:Suzy’s cousin Andrew likes DIY a lot. He’s crazy about DIY教师板书be crazy about,让学生猜测词义。
2教师呈现课文中Andrew的图片,问学生:Look at this picture. What happened to Andrew?鼓励学生回答:He tried to hit the nail with a hammer. but he hit a pipe and filled the room with water教师板书pipe、fill…with…,同时说:Yes, it\'s terrible. 随即板书terrible,让学生猜测词义,教师领读。
3教师板书ceiling,让学生抬头看天花板:Look at the ceiling. There are some lights hanging from it让学生猜测其含义。教师板书shelf,指着教室里的书架, 对某一位学生说:Please get the books on the shelf for me让学生猜测其含义。教师领读这两个单词。
4教师说:Now open your books and turn to page 45, please. Here are some new words and their meanings. Can you match them? 让学生完成课本第45页B1部分的练习,让学生加深对生词的理解。
5教师接着说:Do you think Suzy\'s cousin is good at DIY? 鼓励学生根据图片所提供的信息猜测:No, he isn\'t. He caused a lot of problems when he did things himself. 让学生完成课本第45页B2部分的练习,同时也检查学生对本课内容的预习情况:Match the jobs he did with the problems he caused.
Step II操练
l教师说:Millie wants to retell Suzy’s story about DIY. Listen to Suzy’s article carefully and read the sentences in Part B3 on page 46. Write a T if the sentence is true or an F if it is false教师播放第44页课文录音,让学生看第46页B3部分的练习,边听边判断正误。
2让学生朗读句子,并核对答案,遇到不正确的句子要求学生改正:Read the sentences and correct those with wrong information如:
(3) Suzy’s cousin wanted to put up a picture on the wall.
(4) Suzy’s cousin thought the living room was boring. So he painted it blue.
(5) It took Suzy\'s cousin five hours to put up the shelf on the wall.
(6) Suzy\'s cousin thinks he already knows everything about DIY.
3请学生集体朗读改正后的句子:Let\'s read the corrected sentences together.
Step III阅读
1教师说:Listen to the article again and make some notes about it再次播放课文录音,让学生听录音,记录重要词汇。教师在两段内容之间使录音稍作停顿,让学生有时间完成记录任务。基础薄弱的班级可以不听录音,改用快速阅读的方式让学生找出重要词汇并作记录:Read the article as quickly as possible and make some notes about it
2教师说:Please open your books and turn to page 44. Let\'s repeat the article after the tape sentence by sentence. Pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation再次播放录音,学生跟读,提醒学生注意正确的发音。每段朗读结束后,教师用课件呈现本段的重要词汇、词组,供学生参考。教师说:I’ll show you some key words and phrases in each paragraph
3教师用课件呈现所有重要词汇、词组,要求学生合上课本,根据这些重要提示分段复述课文内容。教师说:Close your books, please. Use these key words and useful phrases to retell the article.
Paragraph l: be crazy about, repair, decorate, 1ook terrible.
Paragraph 2: a brighter light, make a mistake, power cut, put up 4 picture, hit a pipe, fill…with…
Paragraph 3: living room, boring, paint…blue, ceiling, floor, cat
Paragraph 4: a shelf, above, spends five hours, not stay, much higher
Paragraph 5: buy, advise, make him angry, attend lessons, know much more
4教师用课件呈现一张表格,请学生准备三至五分钟,然后完整复述课文内容。教师说:Can you retell Suzy\'s story about her cousin in your own words/对于能自己组织语言,完整、流利地复述课文的学生给了.表扬:Great! /Excellent!
