【新知预习】I. 用动词的适当形式填空。

探究1 表达观点的句型:
“sb. think/ thinks + 宾语从句”。例如:I think I’m going to stay at home. 我想我将呆在家里。此句型变否定句,必须否定前移。
【针对训练】I think she will finish her homework on Saturday. (改为否定句)

探究2. If we have it today, half the class won’t come. 如果我们今天聚会,班上一半的学生不会来。
(1) 句中的half为形容词,意为“半数的”,可以修饰名词,直接放在所修饰名词之前。half 也可以作名词,意为“一半;半”,常用结构为“half of + 名词”,当此结构作主语时,谓语动词要与名词的单复数形式保持一致。
例如: Half of the boys go to the movies on Sundays. 一半的男孩在星期天去看电影。
(2) class在句中为集合名词,指“全班的人”,强调组成班级的多个成员,谓语动词用复数形式,此类的单词还有family, school 等。如: The family are from China. 这家人来自中国。

what to do是由疑问词加不定式构成的宾语。疑问词what,which,whom或疑问副词how,when,where可加一个不定式构成不定式短语,在句中作宾语,通常放在tell,show,teach,learn,know,wonder,forget,find out等动词或动词短语的后面,并可以改写成宾语从句。
例如:Can you tell me what to do next?你能告诉我下一步做什么吗?
