Comic strip & Welcome to the unit(第30~31页),学习常见的初中课程的英文名称并简单谈论学校生活。
教材分析
Comic strip &Welcome to the unit是本单元的第一课时,旨在导入本单元的话题。 Comic strip部分以Eddie和Hobo两只小狗之间幽默和诙谐的对话导入到最喜欢的科目的讨论上;Welcome to the unit A部分通过体现各学科特点的典型图片让学生学习初中各学科的英文名称,B部分则是通过Millie与Mum的对话让学生了解什么是Open Day,让学生学会对时间和日期的提问和回答。
教学目标:
基础知识
掌握词汇:which , best , so , biology , geography , history , date , meeting , o’clock , OK , gate
词组:School Open day , the parents’ meeting , at the school gate
句型:Which of the subjects do you like best ? What’s the date today ? What time is it ?

教学突破:在课程名称的记忆上,可以结合本班的课程表所开设的课程来学习,建议学生用英语记录班级的课程表,以此加深对课程名称的记忆。

Step I Lead-in (导入部分)
1. Free talk : Where do you study ? Do you like your new school ? Do you tell your parents about your new school ? What do you tell them ?
2. Today we’ll learn Unit 3 Welcome to our school . Let’s know more our new school .
Step II Presentation(新授部分)
1. Lead-in : Eddie is a lovely dog . Which is his favorite subject ?
2.Listen and answer the following questions.
Which is Eddie’s favourite subject? _____________________.
Is Eddie good at Maths? _____________________.
How many cakes does Eddie have? ______________________.
3. Read after the tape and explain
1) Which of the subjects do you like best ? = Which is your favourite subject ? / Which subject do you like best ?
2) One / it I have a book . It is new . Your dictionary is good . I want to buy one , too .
